Dengue awareness camp held in Sector Roorkee Khas
Garhshankar- As per the orders of the Honorable Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur and as per the directions of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Nirmal Kumar, dengue awareness was held in Sector Roorkee Khas under PHC POSI today. In this, Sardar Makhan Singh Health Inspector said that any fever can be dengue.
It is spread by the bite of a mosquito called Aedes aegypti. It has symptoms like high fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, vomiting, headache, bleeding from the gums and rashes on the skin.
To avoid this, Do not let water stand around you. Clean the coolers every week. Do not let rainwater accumulate in the utensils. Keep water tanks. Wear full-sleeved clothes. Use mosquito nets.
Use mosquito repellent creams if any. If you have fever, contact the nearest health center. Dengue treatment and testing are provided absolutely free by the government. Vikas Rana, Kulwant Singh, Som Nath and ASHA workers and students of Gursewa Medical College were present on this occasion.
