Demands and ComplaintsDifficulties Raised by Traders Will Be Resolved Soon Dr Ankita Kansal
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 18 August, 2026:- At District Administrative Complex review meeting was held for immediate solution of problems of traders/and shopkeepers under leadership of Assistant Commissioner (G) Dr.Ankita Kansal and Chairman of District Traders Commission Ranjit Pal Singh.
During meeting department wise disposal of demands and complaints brought to notice during meetings of Commission by representatives related to various markets and commercial organizations of district was reviewed.
Dr. Ankita Kansal reviewing pending works related to various departments of Punjab like Powercom, Police Department, Municipal Corporation, Local Governments Department, Drainage Department, GMADA, PWD, Industry Department and other departments with traders and shopkeepers giving strict instructions to concerned officials of departments said that long pending works of traders be disposed of immediately and uploaded on portal.
She directed officials of Powercom department that keeping in view rainy season whatever complaints regarding repair of hanging electricity wires etc pending with them, be disposed of immediately so that any untoward incident can be avoided. Besides this she asked every department to solve complaints pending with them immediately seriously. Traders also demanded immediate removal of unauthorized rehris faddis put in markets, so that traffic jam can be got rid of. Issues related to cleanliness, traffic management, parking, street lights, sewerage, illegal encroachments, illegal vending and other basic facilities were raised by traders.
Mrs. Ankita Kansal assured Chairman of District Traders Commission Ranjit Pal Singh that every issue raised by them will be solved on priority basis by coordinating with concerned departments.
On this occasion Chairman of District Traders Commission Ranjit Pal Singh while talking to traders said that district and Vidhan Sabha constituency level commission is continuously working to effectively convey their genuine demands to government and administration and if they face any kind of difficulty then it should be brought to his notice, so that every possible help can be done for them. He instructed officials of concerned departments that disposal of cases pending with them be done without any delay and update of action taken be regularly entered on portal.
On this occasion Vice Chairman of Traders Commission S. Tarlochan Singh Baidwan, Mohali Vidhan Sabha constituency level Chairman S. Akwinder Singh Gosal, Kharar constituency Chairman Yashpal Bansal, Assistant Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mohali Shri Manpreet Singh and officials of various departments and other trader representatives were also present.
