DelhiChief Minister Rekha Gupta flags off 40 ebuses
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday flagged off 40 electric buses and accused the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of failing to address the national capital's pollution problem. Speaking at an event at Azadpur Terminal, she said the government is able to work with the power of people's votes. "For years, Delhi was mired in hundreds of problems. There was no solution, only an advertisement-driven government.
We do so much work every day, yet we don't even put up a single board," she said. Highlighting her government's achievements, Gupta said she had provided 1,400 electric buses in eight months, while the previous government had provided only 2,000 buses in 11 years. "The previous government did not solve pollution. They did not plant trees under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, and Delhi is paying the price for it," he alleged. "Today, new development projects are happening every day. The government is working 24/7," he asserted. He asked people if they had seen ministers of the previous government inspecting road works. Gupta had flagged off 50 electric buses on November 14.
