Delhi Airport 97 flights cancelled over 200 delayed due to fog
New Delhi: A total of 97 flights were cancelled and over 200 flights were delayed at Delhi airport on Sunday due to low visibility due to dense fog. An official said that 48 arrivals and 49 departures were cancelled at the airport.
According to the latest information available on flight-tracking website 'Flightradar24.com', over 200 flights were running late and the average delay for flights departing from the airport was about 23 minutes. In a post on social media platform 'X' in the afternoon, Delhi airport operator DIAL said that flight operations are running smoothly.
DIAL operates the Indira Gandhi International Airport, which is the largest airport in the country and usually handles around 1,300 flights daily. Dense fog has been affecting flights at Delhi and other airports for the past several days.
