Chandigarh, July 3:- The Haryana Government, while expediting the implementation of the Haryana Contract Employees (Service Security) Rules, 2025, has set a target of August 15, 2026 for verification of eligible contract employees and issuance of offer letters to them under service security.
In this series, a high-level review meeting will be held at PWD Rest House, Panchkula on July 8 at 10 am under the chairmanship of Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Rajesh Khullar. The meeting will review the progress of verification of eligible contract employees through the 'Service Security Portal' by various departments.
According to a letter issued by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi, all heads of departments, boards, corporations and heads of government authorities have been directed to attend the meeting in person. No representative or subordinate officer from any department head will be able to attend the meeting.
The letter states that the Chief Minister has already set a target of completing the verification process of eligible contractual employees by August 15, 2026.
All departments have been directed to present an updated status of the action taken on the 'Sewa Suraksha Portal' in the meeting. Departments which have not yet started working on the portal have been asked to start using the portal immediately before the review meeting.
The government has also clarified that if any department is facing difficulty in logging in to the portal, updating data or facing any other technical problem, then the Human Resources Department and Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) will provide necessary technical support.
HKCL will also give a detailed demonstration of the 'Sewa Suraksha Portal' during the meeting. It will provide information on various features of the portal, workflow, approval process, report generation system and resolution of technical issues. Along with this, practical training will also be given to the department heads for effective operation of the portal and to independently complete the verification process.
The state government has directed all the departments to complete the verification of eligible contractual employees within the stipulated time frame, so that offer letters can be issued to the employees under service security without any delay.
