Una, November 23: DC Una Jatin Lal has taken a series of rapid decisions to strengthen law and order in the district and curb illegal activities. The triple attack of three important orders issued by the district administration on Sunday made it clear that no violations will be tolerated, whether it's illegal mining, the arbitrary behavior of liquor establishments, or the reckless operation of heavy vehicles.
DC Jatin Lal's clear message is that law and order will not be compromised. The administration will ensure peace, security, and environmental protection at all costs.
Issuing three important orders under Section 163 of the Indian Penal Code, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the district administration will take action against illegal mining, rioters, and miscreants from border areas.
Law and order will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict and swift action will now be taken against those who break the law. Strict instructions have been issued to the police and mining departments to ensure 100% compliance with the orders.
*Bars, clubs, and restaurants serving alcohol to close by 10 p.m., strict restrictions on late-night activities*
Issuing the order, the District Magistrate stated that licensed bars, clubs, pubs, and restaurants serving alcohol in the district must close by 10 p.m. daily.
This order will come into effect on November 24th, and strict legal action will be taken for violations. He described this as necessary for law and order and public peace.
*Complete ban on unauthorized mining in the Swan River and its tributaries, machinery to be seized, and FIRs to be filed*
Issuing the order, the DC has imposed a complete ban on unauthorized mining in the Swan River and its tributaries in Bathu, Bathri, Santoshgarh, Khanna, Fatehpur, etc. in the district, effective immediately. This decision was taken in view of the environmental damage, riverbank erosion, and threats to public infrastructure caused by illegal mining.
According to the order, all previous orders have been revoked and any mining without permission is now completely prohibited in these areas. Cutting vegetation along the river banks will also be prohibited. Vehicles, JCBs, and other machinery used in mining will be immediately seized, and offenders will face penalties under Section 163 of the Indian Penal Code and other relevant laws. This order will remain in effect until low-height barriers are installed on the Swan and its tributary river crossings.

Commercial heavy vehicles will be prohibited from 8 am to 9 pm. During the ban period, vehicles will use the Jhalera-DC Chowk-Santoshgarh-Ajouli Mor route. Loading and unloading will also be prohibited from 8 am to 9 pm.

Legal mining lease holders will be allowed to mine from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but transportation of mining materials will only be permitted from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Violators will face immediate punitive action.
*Special corridors identified for transportation of legal mining materials*
The Deputy Commissioner stated that special corridors have also been identified for transportation of materials within the stipulated time period. All lease holders must adhere to the designated time and route. Checkpoints have been set up on these routes for surveillance.

All enclosures must also be completely closed by 10 p.m. Instructions have been issued to close unregistered enclosures with immediate effect and to prevent them from operating until all registration formalities are completed.
