Karnal, July 21: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Senior Secondary School in Shamgarh to assess the quality and arrangements of the mid-day meal scheme. During the visit, he sat with the students to have the meal and interacted with them regarding the food quality, hygiene, and school facilities. He also examined the stock register, food grain storage, and other operational aspects.
He instructed the school management to ensure that the mid-day meal is prepared on time according to the prescribed menu and that special attention is paid to all nutritional and hygiene standards. He also inspected the school's drinking water facilities, cleanliness, and other infrastructure, stating that providing a safe and healthy environment alongside quality education to students is a priority for the administration.
The students told the Deputy Commissioner that the food served to them was tasty and nutritious. He also discussed their studies, sports, and other activities, encouraging them to study diligently. ADC Dr. Rahul Raiya was also present during the inspection.
