DBU and Cluster University Srinagar sign MoU for academic and career development
Mandi Gobindgarh, August 5:- Strengthening its commitment towards industry-centric education and collaborative studies, Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cluster University Srinagar. This agreement is a significant step towards strengthening academic excellence, research, innovation and employment opportunities for students.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University and Prof. Syed Vilayat Hussain Rizvi, Registrar, Cluster University Srinagar. Prof. Muhammad Mobin, Vice-Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar was also present on the occasion. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, which further enhanced the significance of this historic partnership.
The partnership will include mega job fairs, placements, internship opportunities, industry-focused workshops, faculty development programmes, joint research projects and student-faculty exchange programmes. The aim is to establish strong linkages between industry and academia, enhance the employability of students, encourage innovation and provide them with practical and multidisciplinary learning opportunities.
Welcoming the partnership, Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh said that meaningful academic partnerships play a vital role in preparing students for the changing needs of the global job market. He said that such collaborations open new avenues for knowledge exchange, innovation and all-round development.
University Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur said that this agreement reflects the vision of the university, under which education, research, innovation and industry are brought together on a common platform to create future professionals who can contribute significantly to the development of society.
