Ambala, June 30: Nephrologist Dr. Mandeep Joshi has assumed charge at Adesh Medical College and Hospital, Mohri. On this occasion, he discussed at length the rising issue of kidney diseases and the need for timely diagnosis and modern treatment.
Dr. Mandeep Joshi stated that a CRRT procedure has been performed at Adesh Hospital; this is considered a life-saving technique for critically ill patients whose kidneys suddenly stop functioning.
Dr. Joshi noted that the number of patients with kidney-related issues is currently rising due to diabetes, high blood pressure, and irregular lifestyles. Serious complications can be avoided if early symptoms are identified promptly and expert advice is sought. He emphasized that timely and accurate diagnosis, along with expert supervision, is crucial for treating kidney diseases.
He mentioned that Adesh Hospital offers modern diagnostic facilities, consultations, and necessary treatments for kidney patients. Additionally, specialized services are being provided for patients requiring dialysis or suffering from kidney failure. Dr. Joshi urged the public not to ignore symptoms such as swelling in the legs, changes in urination patterns, persistent weakness, high blood pressure, or diabetes, and to consult a specialist doctor in time.
He stated that specialized facilities for kidney patients are available at Adesh Hospital so that they do not have to travel elsewhere for treatment. He also mentioned that the hospital provides treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, alongside various other health insurance options.
