Convention calls for public voice against attack on Baba Bulleh Shahs thought

Jalandhar:- Raising voice against the demolition of the shrine of Punjabi scholar Sufi poet Baba Bulleh Shah in Mussoorie (Uttarakhand) by communal elements, a convention was held today at the local Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall on the call of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee as an immediate response. The convention, chaired by Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee President Kulwant Singh Sandhu, General Secretary Gurmeet Singh, Convener of Cultural Wing Amolak Singh, Committee Member Ajmer Singh and Mangat Ram Pasla, began with lyrics written by singer-artist Dharmendra Masani, Manavata Kala Manch artist Nargis and Kulwant Kaur Nagar respectively from the pen of Baba Bulleh Shah, Trailochan Lochi and Kulwant Kaur.
The General Secretary of the Committee, Gurmeet Singh, while sharing the opening words of the convention, said that the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee understands the hidden motives behind the attack on the tomb of Baba Bulleh Shah.
That is why we have immediately organized this convention and we are deeply grateful to you for giving it a full response. On this occasion, the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee presented Dr. Swarajbir with a badge of honor with a picture of Baba Bulleh Shah. The main speaker in this convention, Dr. Swarajbir, while speaking, said that making Baba Bulleh Shah a target of attack is actually an attack on secularism, humanitarianism, and tolerance.
He said that he has hurt the communal religious fundamentalist elements of every religion. Today, the forces that want to implement their narrow political goals by sowing division, division and hatred in the society, all secular, pro-people, working people's organizations need to come forward to continuously struggle to shatter their evil designs.
Dr. Swarajbir said that thinking, consciousness, unity, solidarity and struggle are the main needs of today's time. Mangat Ram Pasla, member of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, said that keeping everyone aside, the storm of communal fascist attack is rising in the country, on the strength of which the BJP government is going to consolidate its throne in a very cunning way. To defeat it, a united and massive public movement needs to be raised against it.
Sharing the essence of the event, the President of the Committee, Kulwant Singh Sandhu, said that only the people's power has the ability to stop the people-killing policies of all kinds of anti-people forces. He said that activities like Delhi Kisan Morcha are a witness to this. Therefore, the forces that are attacking the thinking of Baba Bulleh Shah in the society using various means.
There is a need to build a mass movement from the bottom to the top to thwart their plans. The resolutions put forward from the stage demanded that action be taken against the elements responsible for destroying the tomb of Baba Bulleh Shah and brutally beating Kashmiri youth Tabis Ahmed by hitting him on the head with rods in Dehradun. The communal hatred-filled actions taking place everywhere in the country should be stopped.
The brazen attacks of false police encounters in tribal areas should be stopped. Prisoners who have completed their sentences without trial should be released unconditionally. The war of multinational corporate aggression against the people should be stopped. These resolutions were approved by the people present at the convention with a raise of both hands. Democratic and pro-people personalities and public-democratic activists were present at today's convention.
