Congress settled Bangladeshi infiltrators Modi
Dibrugarh:- On the second day of his visit to Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an ammonia-urea plant in Dibrugarh, which has an annual production capacity of 1.27 million tonnes. The unit will be operational by 2030. Addressing a public rally, Prime Minister Modi said that earlier farmers had to face lathicharge for fertiliser.
The Congress did not do the work that should have been done at that time. "So I have to work extra hard," he said. The Congress has settled Bangladeshi infiltrators and is protecting them. It is opposing the SIR. We must save Assam from this poison of appeasement and vote bank. I guarantee you that the BJP will stand with you like steel to protect the identity and honour of Assam.
Earlier, the Prime Minister also had a 45-minute discussion on "Parikhya Pe Charcha" with 25 children on a cruise on the Brahmaputra river in Guwahati. Modi laid the foundation stone of a new fertiliser unit at the existing premises of Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Limited in Namrup.
After the discussion on "Parikhya Pe Charcha", Prime Minister Modi went to the Shaheed Smarak, where he paid tribute to the martyrs of the 1985 Assam agitation against illegal immigrants. The Prime Minister garlanded the statue of Kharageshwar Talukdar, the first martyr of the agitation. The climb. A lamp was lit here in memory of the 860 martyrs of the six-year-long movement.
Built at a cost of ?170 crore, the memorial has water tanks, an auditorium, a prayer room, a cycle track, and a sound and light show, which will highlight various aspects of the Assam movement and the state's history.
Modi said, "Our goal is to make Assam as powerful as it was centuries ago during the Ahom dynasty. Our farmers should continue to get fertilizer supplies. This fertilizer plant in Dibrugarh will meet the needs of farmers." An investment of Rs 11,000 crore will be made in it.
When fertilizer supply became a challenge in many parts of the country and old technology was becoming obsolete, the then Congress government did not pay any attention to it. What was the condition of farmers at one time? Farmers had to wait in queues for hours to get urea. Police had to be deployed at urea shops.
The police used to lathicharge farmers. Our government is working tirelessly to improve the conditions that Congress made worse. And they did so much damage, so much damage that even after 11 years of hard work, I still have a lot to do.
