Congress left the borders open infiltration increased Amit Shah
Guwahati:- Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that the Congress has left the country's borders open, due to which infiltration has increased in Assam. The BJP government has dealt with this problem strictly. Speaking at a public rally in Assam's Cachar district, Shah said that no development program was started in Assam during the Congress rule. Today, 14 km of roads are being built in the state every day, which is the highest in the country. Shah is on a two-day visit to Assam.
He launched the second phase of the Rs 6,900 crore "Vibrant Village Program" from Nathanpur village in Cachar. It will cover 15 states and two union territories across the country.
Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's priority is the development of border villages. The Vibrant Village Program is a step in that direction. The second phase of this scheme will cost Rs 6,900 crore. It covers 1,954 villages in 15 states and two union territories. Under the Vibrant Village Programme, 334 blocks bordering Pakistan and Bangladesh will be extensively developed.
The programme aims to check migration from border areas and prevent infiltration from international borders. In the last 10 years, the BJP has given a new direction to the development of Assam. In the next five years, we will make Assam a flood-free state. Assam has become a hub for healthcare facilities in the last 10 years.
