Patiala- The Sabiq Sainik Krantikari Union Punjab has strongly condemned the police action taken against unemployed assistant linemen, who were protesting peacefully for their rights in Patiala.
In a joint statement, the organization’s state president Pargat Singh Dhindsa, general secretary Darshan Singh, and press secretary Sarabjit Singh stated that in a democracy, every citizen has the right to raise their voice peacefully for their legitimate rights. They asserted that the police action against the unemployed assistant linemen is condemnable and demands an impartial investigation.
The leaders demanded that the Punjab government register a case against the police personnel responsible for this incident and take strict legal action against them. Furthermore, they urged the government to immediately resolve the legitimate demands of the unemployed assistant linemen.
