Karnal, October 25 – Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh directed that all concerned SDMs ensure physical verification of paddy stocks at all rice mills under their jurisdiction. He directed that the stock levels recorded during physical verification be compared with the actual physical quantities, and that a thorough review of mill records, including procurement, milling, and dispatch logs, be conducted to identify any irregularities.
He directed the concerned SDMs to conduct inspections as soon as possible in conjunction with the Revenue Officer, AFSO/Food Inspectors, and other relevant personnel. He stated that if any discrepancies or irregularities are found during the verification, the concerned officials must immediately submit a detailed report with photographs, supporting documents, and specific comments to the Deputy Commissioner's office.
