Complete rural development works on time negligence will not be tolerated DC

Una, March 7: Deputy Commissioner, Una, Jatin Lal, directed officials to ensure that all ongoing works under rural development schemes are completed within the stipulated timeframe and in a quality manner. He stated that negligence in the implementation of the schemes will not be tolerated and regular monitoring of the works must be ensured.
He issued these instructions on Saturday while chairing a meeting to review the progress of various development schemes sponsored by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). The meeting reviewed the progress of works being carried out under MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana 2.0. Officials from the relevant departments participated in the meeting and presented detailed information on the implementation status of the schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the government is implementing numerous schemes for the development of rural areas; ensure that their benefits reach eligible people on time. He directed officials to ensure timely and quality completion of projects, urging them to work in collaboration to ensure Una district becomes a leading district in the state through the overall development of rural areas.
Jatin Lal stated that Una district is geographically accessible and has excellent connectivity to all panchayats, and therefore, no laxity in the implementation of projects will be tolerated. He directed that the progress of the projects should be clearly reflected in the data at the next review meeting.

**KYC of 99% MNREGA workers completed**
The Deputy Commissioner informed that of the 38,394 MNREGA workers registered under MNREGA in Una district, 99% of the target has been achieved by completing Aadhaar-based KYC for 37,953 workers. Furthermore, attendance of MNREGA workers is being recorded through face authentication machines in 55 of the district's 229 Gram Panchayats. He reported that approximately 94 percent of development work under this scheme has been completed since 2022-23.
He stated that by integrating MNREGA development works under the Yuktdhara program, work has already begun in 94 Gram Panchayats, including all 40 Gram Panchayats in the Gagret development block. The Deputy Commissioner directed all Block Development Officers to promptly upload development works from all Panchayats under Yuktdhara.


**Good Progress Under the Swachh Bharat Mission**
The Deputy Commissioner reported that out of the ?2.83 crore approved for the financial year 2025-26 under the Swachh Bharat Mission, ?2.39 crore has been spent. During this period, 933 individual and 22 community toilets have been constructed, while 14 segregation sheds have also been built. Plastic waste management units established in four development blocks of the district are also operational. He directed that targets be met by March 31st.

**8080 hectares of land irrigated under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana**
Out of the approved amount of ?8.69 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, ?8.31 crore has been spent to provide irrigation facilities to 8080 hectares of land.

**847 houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana**
In Una district, a target of constructing 884 houses in the year 2023-24 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) was set. Of these, 875 beneficiaries have been registered, and after ensuring geo-tagging, 847 houses have been constructed so far.
On this occasion, District Rural Development Agency Project Officer Ramanveer Chauhan, along with all Block Development Officers and officials from various departments were present.
