Cold wave grips Punjab Yellow alert issued for December 5
Chandigarh:- With the onset of December in Punjab, cold wave has also gripped the state. Meanwhile, the temperature in Punjab is continuously falling, which has made people shiver in the morning and evening. While the sunshine in the afternoon has given a slight relief to the people. Faridkot in Punjab and Mahendragarh in Haryana have been the coldest cities today.
The minimum temperature in Faridkot has been recorded at 3.2 degrees Celsius and in Mahendragarh at 3.7 degrees Celsius. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for severe cold on December 5 as well.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature recorded today in Chandigarh was 6.3 degrees Celsius, in Amritsar 6.1 degrees Celsius, in Ludhiana 5.8 degrees Celsius, in Patiala 7.6 degrees Celsius, in Pathankot 6.3 degrees Celsius, in Bathinda 3.8 degrees Celsius, in Gurdaspur 5.2 degrees Celsius, in Ferozepur 7 degrees Celsius, in Hoshiarpur 4.7 degrees Celsius, in Mansa 6.7 degrees Celsius and in Ropar 4.2 degrees Celsius. These temperatures have been recorded one to four degrees Celsius below normal.
