Bathinda- Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated more than 3,000 playgrounds to be built in the state. The Chief Minister said that there are playgrounds but the facilities that the players should get are not there.
He said that Punjab has made a significant contribution to sports. Due to sports, the youth is saved from the troubles here and there. The Chief Minister said that the captains of four sports are Punjabis. This is a matter of great pride. He said that our children are competing in those sports which were ended and they also get prizes worth crores of rupees.
Making a big announcement, the Chief Minister said that if any player brings a medal from the Commonwealth or Asian Games, he will be given one crore rupees for the gold medal. We give 75 lakhs for silver medal and 50 lakhs for bronze medal. He said that we have given 300 coaches to the players.
He said that we give money to the players in advance for the preparation of the Olympics. He said that there is no deficiency in our children and our players have achieved great things. The Chief Minister said that only sports are such, where the winners and losers join hands with each other.
