Karnal, October 30: Dr. Iram Hasan, Chief Judicial Magistrate and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, inspected the Gharaunda Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee on Tuesday. Gaurang Sharma, ACJ (Senior Division) and Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, was also present.
On this occasion, CJM Dr. Iram Hasan informed panel advocates about environmental pollution caused by stubble burning and informed them about government schemes for stubble management.
She urged panel advocates to use information related to stubble management in the public interest to prevent environmental pollution and ensure farmers benefit from government schemes. She also informed that the District Legal Services Authority, under the campaign "Harvesting Harmony," organized literacy camps in various locations, villages, and schools across the district in October. In which paralegal volunteers are informing the general public about the harms of stubble burning and government schemes related to stubble management.
