CJM Dr Iram Hasan inspected the Place of Safety and reviewed the facilities
Karnal, January 8: Under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Ajay Kumar Sharda, the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dr. Iram Hasan, inspected the Place of Safety on Thursday. During this time, she interacted with the juveniles and reviewed the facilities being provided to them. CJM Dr. Iram Hasan also motivated the juveniles to stay away from drugs and informed them about their rights and free legal aid.
Afterward, CJM Dr. Iram Hasan visited the Government College where she was welcomed by DHEO Anita and Principal Rekha Tyagi. During her visit, she informed them that the District Legal Services Authority is organizing awareness camps for students and staff in Karnal district until January 12th, in observance of National Youth Day. She congratulated the students on National Youth Day and made them aware of the harmful effects of drugs, administering an oath to abstain from drug use.
Harish, a counselor from the Civil Hospital, informed the students and staff about the increasing number of patients due to drug addiction and made them aware of the drug de-addiction centers established by the Civil Hospital. He explained that any person suffering from drug addiction or HIV can receive free treatment at these centers. He informed the students and staff about the harmful effects of drugs and urged them to stay away from them.
On this occasion, a workshop was also organized for the principals of the district's colleges. In this workshop, CJM Dr. Iram Hasan informed all the principals about the "Drug-Free Haryana Mission" campaign. Through the workshop, she emphasized the importance of encouraging students to participate in the campaign and related activities to contribute to public welfare.
In addition, Data Lead Rajat Narang informed the students and staff about the "Jagruk Jao" (Be Aware) campaign and explained that anyone can obtain information related to migration by contacting the "Jagruk Jao" center established at the District ADR Center.
