Civil Surgeon Dr Mandeep Kamal Hands Over Appointment Letters to 17 House Surgeons

Hoshiarpur: With the aim of further strengthening healthcare services in the district's government health institutions, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal handed over appointment letters to 17 newly appointed house surgeons. Of these, 8 house surgeons have been posted to the District Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur; 5 to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Dasuya; and 4 to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Mukerian.
While distributing the appointment letters, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal stated that the tenure of a house surgeon forms a strong foundation for a doctor's professional life. During this period, they gain practical experience by working in various departments under the guidance of senior specialist doctors, which helps them become more skilled and responsible physicians in the future.
He noted that the Punjab Government's objective is to provide quality, timely, and accessible healthcare services to every patient. The appointment of these new house surgeons will make OPD, emergency, and other medical services in the district's government hospitals more effective, ensuring patients receive better treatment facilities.
Dr. Mandeep Kamal urged the house surgeons to treat patients with empathy and courtesy while on duty, prioritize punctuality, honesty, and discipline, and strictly adhere to hospital infection control protocols, bio-medical waste management guidelines, and departmental directives. He emphasized that a good doctor is defined not only by their knowledge but also by their conduct, spirit of service, and dedication to patients.
Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. T.P. Singh was also present on the occasion. Extending his best wishes to the newly appointed house surgeons, he encouraged them to learn as much as possible from senior doctors, work with a team spirit, and remain ever-ready to provide high-quality healthcare services to patients.
District Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur, Superintendent Sanjeev Kumar, Senior Assistant Dharmendra Kumar, and Clerk Sukhwinder Kaur were also present at the event.
