Chief Minister sends Rs 1884 crore to beneficiaries with one click

Chandigarh, March 9:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini sent an amount of about Rs 1884 crore through DBT to lakhs of beneficiaries of various schemes of the state by pressing a button.
The Chief Minister said during a press conference on Monday that the double engine government of Haryana under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is taking steps to strengthen every section of the state including farmers, women, youth and the poor.
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana was also present on this occasion.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that in the state level function organized in Sirsa on the occasion of International Women's Day yesterday, an amount of Rs 1357 crore of various schemes related to women was transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT, today an amount of Rs 1884 crore has been sent.
He said that today, under the social security pension schemes of the service department, an amount of Rs 842 crore 92 lakh has been directly deposited in the accounts of 26 lakh 12 thousand beneficiaries. These include old age allowance, disability allowance and other social security pensions. The Chief Minister said that insurance claims have been distributed to farmers for the crops of Kharif-2025 under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. He said that today, an insurance amount of Rs 711 crore 69 lakh has been distributed in the bank accounts of 1 lakh 67 thousand 460 farmers. Adding this, in the last 11 years, an amount of Rs 16 thousand 160 crore has been given to farmers in the state so far under crop compensation and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Whereas, during the 10 years of rule of the previous Congress government, only a compensation amount of Rs 1 thousand 138 crore was released. Not only this, the Congress government had left the farmers with a compensation of Rs 269 crore, which the present government released after assuming responsibility in the year 2014.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the additional commission given to the arhtiyas by the state government has also been transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries today. He said that on the food grains purchased by the central government, the arhtiyas are given a commission of Rs 46 per quintal on wheat, Rs 45.88 paise on paddy and Rs 11.75 paise on bajra. A total amount of about Rs 239 crore 28 lakh has been given to the arhtiyas during the Kharif season 2025-26.
Apart from this, keeping in mind the interests of the agents, the state government had decided to give commission to the agents on wheat, paddy and bajra at the rate of Rs 55 per quintal from the Rabi-Khawan season 2024-25. As per this decision, today the state government has paid the remaining amount in addition to the commission fixed by the Central Government on paddy and bajra. Today, a total amount of Rs 56 crore 97 lakh has been directly deposited in the bank accounts of 11,199 agents of the state.
The Chief Minister said that under the Dayalu Yojana, Rs 205.42 crore was distributed to 5409 beneficiaries and under the "Awas Sabhi Ke Liye" (Housing for All) scheme, Rs 67 crore was distributed to 12353 families.
He said that the present government has adopted a 'pro-active model' while changing the system. Under this, eligibility is automatically determined on the basis of the family identity card database and eligible citizens are getting the benefit of the allowance sitting at home without visiting offices and without applying.
He said that this payment being made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) is a symbol of the state government's unwavering commitment to transparency and good governance, which is ensuring that state assistance reaches every needy person on time.
