Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini thanks Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Chandigarh, May 27:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Central Government for giving the country's first hydrogen fuel cell based DEMU train to Haryana. The Chief Minister said that this is a historic achievement not only for Haryana but for the entire country, which will give India a new identity in the direction of a modern, environment-friendly and future-oriented public transport system.
The Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Indian Railways is continuously moving forward rapidly in the direction of modern technology, green energy and world-class infrastructure. Haryana getting the country's first hydrogen fuel cell based train is a proof that the Central Government is committed to connecting the state with future technologies and modern transport facilities.
He said that the Railway Board has approved the operation of 10-coach hydrogen fuel cell based DPRS 1200 kW DEMU train between Jind-Sonepat. This train will run at a maximum speed of 75 kmph. The Chief Minister said that this project will play an important role in making Haryana a leading centre of clean, safe and modern rail transport technology in the country.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that hydrogen based trains will form a strong basis for future transport. This will not only reduce pollution, but will also give a new direction to the use of green energy and alternative fuels. He said that Haryana is today moving forward rapidly in the field of development, technology and infrastructure under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and this project will open doors of new possibilities for the state. He said that this will give new momentum to industrial development, investment, technological innovation and modern rail network in Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is rapidly moving towards a new technology based public transport system and Haryana is emerging as a leading participant in this transformation.
