Chandigarh- Senior Citizens Association Chandigarh revived the festive spirit with its gathering at the Community Centre, Sector 50-B. The event witnessed a huge turnout of 200+ senior citizens from Sectors 46-51, setting the tone for fun, camaraderie and celebrations in the festive season.
The gathering began with the National Anthem, followed by a hearty welcome by Chapter Head Shri Raghbir Singh, who extended greetings for the festive season and Diwali.
A lively Tambola session kept the members engaged and happy.
Branch Head of DCB Bank Limited Mohali presented attractive banking schemes and sensitized the members about cyber crime prevention and digital security.
This was followed by cake cutting, dhol beats, music and dance with the celebration of the 2025 e-Moonlight Newsletter and the birthdays of 26 members.
Special awards were given to the winners of the timely lucky draw and the best WhatsApp message. Diwali Bumper Lucky Draw was won by 05 members.
In the joy of the festivities, the much awaited Diwali gifts were distributed to all the members. Gifts were also given to the supporting staff.
The cultural segment, prepared by Mr. Deepak Rikhi, was a lively blend of Giddha, Bhangra and spiritual songs, which created a joyful atmosphere. Mr. Tarsem Raj, a renowned singer, also enthralled the members.
The event concluded with a grand vote of thanks by Secretary Shri Ashok Goyal, followed by a sumptuous buffet lunch, which received widespread appreciation from all present who expressed their gratitude for the smooth conduct of the event.
