Chandigarh Retired DSP shoots AAP leader
Roopnagar- Retired DSP Dilsher Singh of Chandigarh Police shot dead AAP leader Nitin Nanda from Anandpur Sahib in Agampur village here this afternoon. Sources said that the retired DSP fired two bullets at Nanda.
The AAP leader was brought to the Civil Hospital in Anandpur, where his condition is said to be stable. Nitin Nanda was earlier a Shiv Sena leader in Roopnagar and later joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
Roopnagar SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana said that Dilsher Singh had an old enmity with Nitin Nanda over a property dispute. The two had an argument during a social function in Agampur village, after which Dilsher Singh opened fire on Nanda with his licensed revolver.
The accused has been arrested. He said that Nitin Nanda's condition is stable. Anandpur Sahib police have registered a case of attempt to murder against Dilsher Singh.
