Chandigarh: Chandigarh MP Mr. Manish Tewari strongly raised serious environmental issues concerning Chandigarh in Parliament today. He raised the issue of persistent and rampant pollution in Sukhna Choa, Northern Choa, and Patiala Rao, stating that this is severely damaging the reputation of the "City Beautiful."
He also drew attention to the extremely deplorable condition of the garbage dump located on the border of Sector 38 West and Dadu Majra, which poses a serious threat to the surrounding areas.
The Honorable MP urged the Environment Minister and Home Minister to take immediate, concrete, and effective steps to clean up Chandigarh and protect the environment, so that Chandigarh can maintain its "City Beautiful" reputation.
