Garhshankar: Certificates were distributed to body donors under the leadership of Dr. Tarsem Singh, Chairman of the Rotary Eye and Cornea Transplant Society Unit, Garhshankar.
On this occasion, Unit President Dr. Lakhwinder Kumar Bilra praised the body donors for their noble contribution to society. The event was attended by SMO Dr. Ajay Basra as the chief guest. He presented certificates to body donors, including Archana and her mother Surjit Kaur of Ward No. 11, Garhshankar.
Speakers highlighted that eye donation is one of the greatest acts of charity and that body donation makes a significant contribution to medical colleges by supporting medical education and research. They encouraged people to come forward and participate in eye and body donation initiatives for the benefit of society.
Prominent personalities present at the event included Jagdish Rai, Ukar Singh Chahalpuri, Vicky Mallan, and Ashok Kumar, along with other distinguished guests.
