Century Plywood Donates Bus to Asha Kiran School
Hoshiarpur: Century Plywood Limited, under its CSR fund, donated a school bus to JSS Asha Kiran Special School in Jahankhela for the convenience of the students studying there. Present at the bus handover ceremony were Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director of Century Plywood Limited, Sumant Vats, Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Shekhawat, Head of Research and Development Manufacturing, Ashok Kumar Goyal, Head Plant In-charge, and B.S. Jaswal, Head HRD.
On this occasion, the chief guest, Keshav Bhajanka, inaugurated the bus by breaking a coconut. The special children of the school presented saplings to the chief guest and other guests present. On this occasion, Paramjit Singh Sachdeva welcomed the chief guest to the school and provided him with complete information about the school. He also mentioned that Century Plywood had installed a solar system at the school, which is providing electricity. He informed that Prem Bhajanka and Sajan Bhajanka are regular donors to the school.
On this occasion, the school principal, Mrs. Shelly Sharma, shared information about the activities conducted at the school throughout the year. Secretary Colonel Gurmeet Singh also provided information about the Asha Deep Welfare Society's school project, hostel project, Aasra project, and shelter workshop. In his address, Keshav Bhajanka said that Asha Deep Welfare Society and the school staff are making a significant contribution to improving the lives of special children and integrating them into the mainstream of society, and their efforts deserve immense praise.
He also announced a donation of Rs. 5 lakh to the school and assured the school management that he would continue to contribute to the welfare of special children in the future. On this occasion, Harbans Singh, President of Ashadeep Welfare Society, thanked all the guests who had come to the school. Former presidents of the society, Malkit Singh Maheru and Mastan Singh Garewal, along with Ram Asra, Harmesh Talwar, course coordinator Barinder Kumar, Principal Shelly Sharma, and other staff members were also present.
