Centre wants to grab everything Chief Minister Mann
Amritsar- Taking another important step in the employment sector, the Punjab government honored the newly appointed candidates of PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) during the appointment letter distribution ceremony today. So far, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has made 56 thousand 856 recruitments in various departments. With the recruitment of these 2200 newly appointed employees, this figure has crossed 59 thousand.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mann, while talking about many big issues regarding the state, said that the Centre wants to grab everything from the state. He said that Punjab knows how to fight for its rights and get its rights. Talking about the water dispute, he said that when Haryana had used up its rightful water and Punjab needed water, the Centre started interfering. Apart from this, the Centre also tried to interfere in the Bhakra Beas Management Board.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mann raised the issue of Panjab University and said that now the Centre has shifted its focus towards Panjab University and they have started calling it their own. He said that meetings were also held between the Governor of Punjab and the Governor of Haryana in this regard, in which he himself also attended.
Attempts were made to enter the syndicate through these meetings, in which it was said that colleges of Ambala and Yamunanagar should be affiliated with Panjab University. Which we clearly refused.
He said that earlier Haryana had written and separated its colleges from Panjab University and formed Kurukshetra University. On this, Mann questioned the Haryana government whether they no longer have faith in Kurukshetra University.
Chief Minister Mann said that the heritage of Punjab is linked to Panjab University. He had also interrupted the then Governor of Punjab, Banwari Lal Purohit, when he was agreeing to the affiliation of colleges of Ambala and Yamunanagar with Panjab University. The Chief Minister had asked the Governor whether he was speaking on behalf of Punjab or Haryana.
After this protest, the notification had to be withdrawn, because such a notification could not be issued after the Act was passed in the Vidhan Sabha. Apart from this, he said while talking about the electricity board issue that the Centre is now sitting with the electricity board bill. He said that all the electricity boards will also remain under the state.
