Central government releases video of blocking the path of the Prime Minister

New Delhi: The ongoing uproar between the government and the opposition in the Lok Sabha increased today when the government released a video footage from inside the House. In this video, women MPs of the opposition are seen holding banners in their hands and going towards the ruling party and blocking the path of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This incident is said to be of February 4. Sharing this footage, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has strongly condemned this protest led by Congress MP Jotimani.
Kiren Rijiju said that the Congress party is proud of this bad behavior of its MPs, but if the BJP MPs had not been stopped, the situation in the House could have been very bad. He said that the government acted with great restraint to protect the dignity and sanctity of Parliament. After this video came to light, the tension between the two parties has increased further and the government is now adopting an aggressive stance against the opposition.
On the other hand, the opposition has also opened a front against the government. More than 100 opposition MPs have prepared to give a notice to remove Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla from the post and have also signed it. However, the Trinamool Congress has not signed this notice yet and is seen staying away from this campaign. The no-confidence motion against the Speaker and the video released by the government have put a question mark on the proceedings of the Budget Session.
