Celebrate Clean and Green Diwali Tarsem Lal

Nawanshahr - The Environmental Conservation Society, which has been creating awareness for the conservation of the environment for the past 22 years, organized an awareness seminar to celebrate Clean and Green Diwali at Doaba Sikh National Senior Secondary School.
On this occasion, the vice president of the society, Tarsem Lal, said that Diwali festival is celebrated by all sections of the society together. It is a symbol of mutual and communal harmony. With time, the ways of celebrating it have changed rapidly. The young generation is considering bursting crackers and fireworks as the only way to achieve happiness.
This creates a huge amount of pollution and fire incidents also occur. We knowingly and unknowingly set fire to the hard-earned money of our parents with our own hands, causing loss of money, health and environment. Society president Jaswant Singh Bhatti said that the forest area in Punjab is continuously decreasing.
To prevent pollution, the students were motivated to celebrate Diwali in the traditional way and plant as many trees as possible around their homes. The chairman of the society, Rajan Arora, appealed to the students to serve the society by getting higher education with dedication and hard work and bringing glory to their school, parents and the country.
School Principal Parvinder Singh Rana, while making them aware about the history of the school and the contribution being made by the school in the field of education, asked the students to take inspiration from the spirit of public service being done by the Environmental Conservation Society and work to prevent global warming and pollution of the environment by planting trees and taking care of them and to stop misuse of water.
School students Saras Kumar and Manpreet Singh were motivated to plant trees and nurture them. School student Gurpreet Kaur inspired the other students by making a very good poster to celebrate a pollution-free, clean and green Diwali.
On this occasion, the Society's Chairman Rajan Arora, President Jaswant Singh Bhatti, Vice President Tarsem Lal, Dharam Pal Bali, Kuldeep Kumar, Baljit Chopra and School Head Principal Parvinder Singh Rana, Mahinder Pal, Surjit Singh, Jaskaran Singh Chahal, Prabhat, Jaskaran Singh, Manjit Kaur, Kamaljit Kaur, Satinder Kaur, Pooja, Sunita, Navneet Kaur, Bhumika, Mona, Divanshi, Anjali, Urmila, Neetu, Nutan and all the students were present.
