CDOE organized a special lecture on the topic Strong Minds Bright Futures

Chandigarh, November 5—The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a special lecture on "Strong Minds, Bright Futures: Promoting Mental Health in Youth" on November 4, 2025. The keynote speaker, Dr. Prabhjot Malhi, Consultant at Fortis MedCenter, Chandigarh, and former Professor of Child Psychology at PGIMER, presented an in-depth session on the importance of promoting mental health among youth.
The session was chaired by Prof. Harsh Gandhar, Director, CDOE, who began with a welcome address and highlighted Panjab University's commitment to promoting holistic education and mental health awareness.
Dr. Malhi emphasized the role of self-awareness, resilience, and positive thinking in managing academic and emotional pressures. The session was well-received by students and faculty, who actively participated.
The program was moderated by Dr. Ravinder Kaur, Convener of the Seminar Committee. The event was held in hybrid mode and was attended by 200 students, with the majority, 150, joining online. The lecture was well received by the students.
