CBSE will mark answer sheets on screen
Chandigarh:- The Central Board of Secondary Education has made an important change for the 2026 board examinations. The board will now adopt an on-screen marking system for the evaluation of answer sheets of class 12. Under this new system, teachers will check the papers digitally on the computer screen instead of paper and pen. However, the process for class 10 will continue in the old way for now.
According to the information, CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, while issuing a letter, said that the main purpose of this step is to bring transparency in the examination results. Now the examination of class 12 will be done digitally, which will eliminate the scope for errors and the results will also be prepared quickly.
With this system, teachers will not need to go to distant evaluation centers, they will be able to do this work from their school, which will save time and money. For this, passwords will be issued to schools. It is worth mentioning that these 12th class exams are going to start from February 17.
