Cases Registered Against Chanot Villagers Should Be Withdrawn Immediately Rajender Sorkhi

Hansi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned the police cases registered against 31 people of Chanot village, holding the stubbornness of the administration and the government responsible for the situation. In a statement issued to the press, AAP Hansi District President Rajender Sorkhi stated that for the last 20 days, villagers have been protesting peacefully in this extreme heat for their basic need for water. Instead of resolving the water problem, the administration has registered police cases against them to harass and suppress them further.
Rajender Sorkhi alleged that the MLA of the Hansi constituency has failed to fulfill the basic need for water for his constituents. When the villagers of Chanot were forced to take to the streets to demand water, they were persecuted with police cases.
The Aam Aadmi Party emphasized that water is a basic necessity for everyone in this scorching heat, and it is the MLA's responsibility to ensure its supply as the representative of the constituency. Due to the failure to fulfill this responsibility, the villagers confronted the MLA. Despite this, no solution to the problem was found.
Rajender Sorkhi warned that the cases filed against the Chanot villagers must be withdrawn immediately and their demand for water fulfilled at the earliest; otherwise, the party will actively participate in every protest alongside the villagers.
