Mohali: A symbol of victory and self-confidence, cancer survivor walked ramp with doctors during the ‘Pink Warriors Meet’ event organised by Livasa Hospital, Mohali on Thursday.
The event was dedicated to honouring the inspiring journey of cancer survivors to victory over cancer in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The initiative by Livasa aimed to spread awareness about the importance of early detection, timely treatment and emotional support in the fight against cancer. The event brought together cancer survivors, oncologists and healthcare professionals to celebrate stories of hope and cure.
The event was attended by Dr Jatin Sarin, Director of Medical Oncology, Dr Vijay Bansal, Director of Surgical Oncology, Dr Meenakshi Mittal, Director of Radiation Oncology, Dr Shubh Mahindru, Director of Surgical Oncology, Dr Privanshu Chaudhary, Senior Consultant, Medical Oncology and Dr Pravanshu Chaudhary, Senior Consultant, Senior Oncology.
Sharing her emotional journey of conquering cancer, cancer survivor Nisha (name changed) said, “Today’s event is a celebration for cancer survivors like me. It empowers those who have been diagnosed recently and reminds them that courage and faith can conquer fear.”
Cancer survivor Pooja (name changed) said: “I have learnt that when you believe in yourself, fear is replaced by hope. I will always be grateful to my doctors and family who supported me through it all.”
Another cancer survivor beautifully said, “The important thing is not how many years you have in your life, but how many years you have in your life. Once you hold on to hope, anything is possible.”
CEO Livasa Hospital Anurag Yadav said, “This event is a tribute to those extraordinary women cancer survivors who fought and came out strong. Their courage reflects our mission of creating a healthier and more conscious society.”
During the event, fun games, health-related activities and informative awareness sessions focusing on preventive health, self-care and mental health were also organized. During the month of October, Livas Hospital, Mohali organized breast screening camps, awareness campaigns and educational workshops as part of its continued commitment to women's health and preventive care.
