Cabinet Minister Shruti Chaudhary held a meeting with officials regarding the upcoming budget
Chandigarh, January 28:- Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Smt. Shruti Chaudhary held a meeting with senior officials of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department regarding the upcoming budget and discussed in detail the work done by the department so far, the use of the budget and future plans.
Smt. Shruti Chaudhary took complete information from the officials about the budget spent till December and also reviewed how the remaining budget will be used properly and effectively. She clarified that the government's objective is that every rupee should be used in the interest of the public and no amount should be left out.
He told the officials that the new budget that is about to come should be planned properly in advance so that irrigation projects, canal repairs, water conservation and farmer-related works can be completed on time. All the schemes should be visible on the ground and should not be limited to papers only. Mrs. Shruti Chaudhary instructed the officials to perform their duties with complete honesty and responsibility. If any officer fails to discharge his duties properly, strict action will be taken against them.
The Irrigation and Water Resources Minister said that the department is directly related to the farmers and the economy of the state, hence no laxity will be tolerated in this regard. The priority of the government is to ensure better management of water resources, strengthen irrigation facilities and provide water to farmers on time. He also directed the officers to work in coordination with each other, go to the field to see the current status of the schemes and solve the problems of the public on priority basis.
On this occasion, the officers of the department including the Additional Chief Secretary of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department of the department, Mr. Anurag Agarwal, were present.
