Build roads as per rules do not be negligent in quality Chief Minister
Chandigarh, July 3:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the roads constructed by the Marketing Board should be constructed as per the rules. No negligence should be used in matters of quality. Apart from this, it should be ensured that no road remains broken in the state.
The Chief Minister was reviewing in a meeting organized with the officials of the Marketing Board. The Chief Minister reviewed in detail the construction of Gramin Haat and Purchase Center, construction of roads and their maintenance, issuance of gate passes for crops, agro-malls, cleanliness in mandis, pack houses and cold storage, Atal Canteen, Sankalp Patra, Vision 2047 etc. as per the budget announcement.
The Chief Minister said that 12 places in the state have been identified for construction of Gramin Haat and Purchase Center. Sheds will be built on these at a cost of Rs 30-35 lakh. Apart from this, work will also be done to build hot centers at the sector level. Self-help groups, FPOs and farmers will be able to participate in these to increase their means of livelihood and sell their crops and other products.
The Chief Minister said that proper arrangements should be made for cleanliness in all grain markets. Apart from this, the drains, sheds and grounds in the markets should also be cleaned. He said that no complaint should be made about cleanliness in the markets. Apart from this, cold storage and pack houses will be built in Yamunanagar, Karnal and Narnaul. Tenders have been allotted for these.
Vegetable markets of Gurugram, Faridabad will be shifted
The Chief Minister said that the agro mall of Rohtak has started being put into use. Apart from this, necessary action is also being taken for the agro malls of Karnal, Panipat and Panchkula. Apart from this, tenders will also be floated soon for the apple market of Pinjore. He said that the vegetable market of Gurugram will be shifted from a crowded place in the city to a flower market to be established on 22 acres of land in Kaliawas. Apart from this, the vegetable market of Faridabad will also be shifted outside soon.
Atal canteens to be opened soon in 10 mandis
He said that emphasis should be laid on increasing the quality of the kinnu crop in the state and farmers should be encouraged to increase production. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the trade and processing of kinnu. He said that Atal canteens have been opened for laborers in 93 mandis of the state and the work of opening canteens in 10 more mandis will also be done soon so that those who come to the mandis can easily get good and cheap food at reasonable rates.
The Chief Minister said that electronic weighing machines have been installed in the mandis for accurate measurement and weighing. Apart from this, the facility of issuing a gate pass for all crops for sale has been made available to farmers. Complete integration has been done with the electronic National Agricultural Market Portal in 108 mandis of the state.
The Chief Minister said that to give a boost to solar energy, solar panels with latest technology should be installed on the sheds in all the mandis of the state. Apart from the electricity used in the mandis, the excess electricity should be sent to the power grid. This will also make the mandi economically self-sufficient and as per the instructions of the Prime Minister, more electricity will also be produced.
Maintenance of 10970 roads under Rural Improvement Scheme
He said that 10970 rural roads are being maintained under the Chief Minister Rural Improvement Scheme. Apart from this, the repair work of 1680 km of roads is in progress. Apart from this, work of 3300 km of 1157 roads has also been done. The work of the remaining roads will be completed in the coming time. He said that the work of paving the unpaved roads of 609 farms with a length of 1837 km of 5 karam has been done and the work of 127 km of roads is in progress.
Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, ACS Vijender Singh, Principal Secretary Amneet P. Kumar and many senior officials were present in the meeting.
