Hoshiarpur:- A cow, her calf and a buffalo died in a fire in the haveli of a poor family in village Bhagtupur late at night due to short circuit in the wire. According to the information received, Harnek Singh son of Joginder Singh resident of Bhagtupur, his associates Kashmir Singh, Amritpal Singh, Joginder Singh, Major Singh, Amandeep Kumar, Sohan Lal, Resham Lal, Varinder Kumar, Kulwaran Singh etc. said that at around 8 pm they went to their cattle haveli and locked themselves in the room.
They were informed by the neighbors at around 8:45 pm that there was a fire in the cattle room inside their haveli. So on the spot, they and a half of the neighbors managed to control the fire with great effort. But the fire that broke out due to a short circuit in the room caught fire from the fuel inside. Due to which, a cow, her calf and a buffalo, which had been in the room died. Due to which the poor family suffered a loss of about two lakh rupees.
