Amritsar- BSF has recovered a huge consignment of heroin, ice drug and ammunition on the Punjab border. BSF officials said that in two major operations conducted in the last 24 hours, vigilant BSF personnel recovered a large quantity of heroin, ice drug and ammunition on the Amritsar border.
Officials said that a suspicious drone movement was seen last evening after which BSF personnel launched an extensive search operation with Punjab Police, as a result of which a large packet was recovered from a farmland near village Bhaini Rajputa. It contained 3 small plastic containers of ice drug (methamphetamine), which contained a total of 3.049 kg of ice drug.
In the second incident, BSF personnel in the border area of ??Amritsar recovered 3 large packets from a field near village Attari during a midnight operation. It contained 15 small packets of heroin (total weight 7.985 kg), opium 290 grams and 34 live cartridges belonging to Pak ordinance.
He said that these operations were carried out to create unrest in Indian territory from across the border, which has been foiled by the strict vigilance, swift action and steadfast commitment of BSF personnel.
