BSF recovers 8 packets of heroin from the border

Amritsar- BSF personnel have recovered about 4.898 kg of heroin from the Amritsar and Ferozepur borders in operations conducted at different places in the last 24 hours. A senior BSF official said that in a joint operation based on intelligence information yesterday, BSF personnel recovered 6 packets from a field adjacent to Jalloke village in Ferozepur, in which about 3.248 kg of heroin was found. The packets were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape which appears to have been dropped by a drone.
He said that alert BSF personnel on the Amritsar border recovered 1 packet from an area near Mullakot village, in which about 1.080 kg of heroin was recovered.
Similarly, another packet of heroin was found from a field near village Chaharpur in Ajnala, in which about 570 grams of the drug was recovered. BSF jawan with heroin recovered from Jalloke in Ferozepur district.
