Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 19: In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act-2012, the Additional District Magistrate Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Mrs. Geetika Singh, has suspended the license issued to Brownstone Educational Services and Consultancy Firm SCO No. 207A, 1st Floor, Swastik Vihar, Patiala Road, Zirakpur, Tehsil Derabassi, District-Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar for the business of Travel Agency, Consultancy, Ticketing Agent for a period of three months with immediate effect.
Additional District Magistrate Mrs. Geetika Singh informed that Mr. Kulwinder Singh, son of Mr. Harjit Singh, owner of Brownstone Educational Services and Consultancy Firm, address House No. 312, Shiva Enclave, Bhabat Road, Near Sadhu Complex Zirakpur, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, was issued a license No. 643/IC dated 15.01.2024 for the work of travel agency, consultancy, ticketing agent, which is valid till 14.01.2029.
Additional District Magistrate Mrs. Geetika Singh said that the licensee was instructed through a letter from this office regarding the report to be sent, report regarding advertisements/seminars and half-yearly report. But despite the issuance of a letter to the firm by this office, the licensee has not been sent information regarding monthly reports, advertisements etc. under the Act/Rules/Advisory (since the issuance of the license).
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that by not sending information regarding monthly reports and advertisements, not following the clauses of the license, not giving reply/clarification to the notice, the firm and the licensee have violated the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act-2012.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Act-2012, the license No. 643/IC issued to the firm Brownstone Educational Services and Consultancy has been cancelled. Date 15.01.2024 has been suspended for three months from date 14.01.2026.
Under Section 6(1)(e) of Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, a notice has been issued to the licensee giving 15 days to clarify his position as to why his license should not be cancelled.
