Brahma Kumaris Launched 10 Crore Nasha Mukti Pledge Campaign

Mohali, 3 August 2026:- Brahma Kumaris Mohali launched the "10 Crore Nasha Mukti Pledge Campaign 2026" for the Mohali and Ropar Circle with great enthusiasm at Sukh Shanti Bhawan, Phase-7. The campaign will run from 6 August to 20 August in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, which have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brahma Kumaris for this campaign.
Brahma Kumari Prem Lata, In-charge of the Rajyoga Centres, Mohali Circle, gave her blessings and emphasized the role of youth in nation-building. She said that Rajyoga Meditation empowers people to break free from all kinds of bondage caused by bad habits.
BK Rama, In-charge of the Rajyoga Centre, Ropar, highlighted the excessive use of mobile phones these days and described it as a matter of concern. She said that the regular practice of Rajyoga Meditation helps people overcome every type of addiction without experiencing withdrawal symptoms. She also guided the audience through a beautiful Rajyoga Meditation experience with commentary.
Mr. Shashwat Razdan, Deputy Director, Sports Punjab, explained the important role of sports in helping people overcome addictions.
Mr. Vishal Chauhan, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Mohali–Patiala–Ferozepur Circle, said that every mission begins with a positive and determined thought, and this pledge can contribute towards making India addiction-free.
Mrs. Prabhjot Kaur, Chairperson, District Planning Commission, and District President of AAP, Mohali, said that although the government is already running several campaigns in this direction, the cooperation of every citizen and every family is essential.
During the programme, 30 newly appointed Municipal Councillors were honoured, and the campaign was formally soft-launched.
To take the campaign to every resident of Mohali, BK Aman was entrusted with the Kalash of the campaign, while BK Dinesh was presented with the campaign flag.
A meaningful skit was presented during the launch ceremony to create awareness about the various addictions affecting society.
The programme concluded with a pledge taken by the dignitaries, 30 Municipal Councillors, and more than 300 participants.
