Body of youth found in suspicious circumstances
Ambala:- The body of a 35-year-old youth has been recovered near the community center of Jaggi Colony Phase-3 in Ambala city. The deceased has been identified as Anurag Rana, a resident of Jaggi Colony. The police have registered a case of culpable homicide against unknown persons and started investigation.
The deceased's mother Sushma told the Baldev Nagar police in her complaint that Anurag was a drug addict for a long time. He was also sent to a drug rehabilitation center several times and returned on January 20 but could not come out of the swamp of drugs. On the evening of January 29, he left home on his scooter but did not return.
The next morning, his body was found near the community center of Jaggi Colony, after which there was a commotion. It is suspected that he died due to drug overdose. On receiving information, a team from Baldev Nagar police station reached the spot and sent the body to the District Civil Hospital. The police have recovered a syringe and a water bottle from the spot.
The mother alleges that someone gave her son an overdose of drugs, which led to his death.
