Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, February 15:- While attending a blood donation camp organized by the youth at village Shyampur in Mohali district, MLA Kulwant Singh encouraged the blood donors and said that blood donation is the best donation in the world. This is a donation that can save the life of any person.
He said that there is always a need for blood for patients in every hospital. When a close patient is admitted to the hospital and needs blood, the family makes a lot of efforts to arrange blood. At such a time, getting a bottle of blood gives a great relief to the family and makes them realize its real importance.
The MLA said that this blood donation camp has been organized due to the efforts of Sarpanch Gurmukh Gir. He congratulated and thanked the Sarpanch and his entire team for this social service.
On this occasion, he said that the Sarpanch has demanded the construction of a Dharamshala and a Janjh Ghar for the SC community in the village, which is very important. He assured the audience that the construction of a Dharamshala and a Janjh Ghar will be started soon in the village.
The MLA said that earlier, during marriage ceremonies, relatives and neighbors used to make preparations together, due to which the brotherhood was strengthened and purity was maintained in food and drink. But with the change of time, today this custom has decreased and getting married in marriage palaces has become a show, which puts a financial burden on the middle class families.
Apart from Sarpanch Gurmukh Gir, Gurpreet Singh Bariali, Dr. Kuldeep Singh and Avtar Singh Mauli Vaidwan were also present on this occasion.
