Blood Donation Camp on Martyrs Day 199 Donors Donate Blood
Haroli/Una, March 23 (Rajveer Chopra):— In a blood donation camp organized to mark Martyrs' Day, 199 donors enthusiastically donated blood, setting a shining example of humanity. As in previous years, this camp was successfully organized once again by the 'Bloodlines and Social Welfare Committee.'
Members of the organization—including Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Vashisht, Aman Lambad, Raman Rana, Mahendra Bittu, Rajesh Pradhan, Harshdeep, Vasudev, Brahmachari, and Mangi Jalandhar—along with Anmol, Daksh, Ansh, Rohan, Munish, Kuldeep, Ankit, Gagan, Mohit, Rohit, Shreya, Anish, Vandana (Chandigarh), Palak, Jyoti (Malerkotla), and other women volunteers, actively participated in this noble endeavor.
On this occasion, Jai Datta—Acting President of the Himachal Pradesh Shiv Sena and Chairman of the Pandit Mohan Lal Datta Memorial Welfare Tournament (Khadd)—made a special appearance and set an inspiring example by donating blood for the 50th time. He encouraged all social workers to actively participate in such virtuous activities. On behalf of the organizing committees, the blood donors were also honored with mementos.
Sandeep Sharma, a member of the organization, stated that—following the model of PGI (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research)—blood donors at this camp were issued a special card entitling them to receive a unit of blood once a year. He further added that in the event of a blood shortage at the hospital, the organization would extend every possible assistance to ensure that blood is made available.
