Chandigarh, January 5: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chandigarh State President, Mr. Vijay Pal Singh, launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its mayor, stating that the BJP mayor has not undertaken a single concrete development project for Chandigarh in the past year. Development remained completely stalled throughout the term, and the city only received a government marred by scandals.
Mr. Vijay Pal Singh said that the Manimajra 24x7 water supply scam is a clear example of the BJP's biggest administrative failure. BJP leaders tried to sell off land in Manimajra by manipulating measurements, but to this day, the people of Manimajra have not been provided with clean drinking water. This exposes the BJP's anti-people policies and failed governance.
He alleged that all Aam Aadmi Party councilors were forcibly removed from the MC House simply because they were raising basic issues in the public interest, such as the construction of V-3 roads. The BJP is afraid of the voice of the people, which is why they attempted to silence democratically elected representatives.
Vijay Pal Singh clearly stated that the Aam Aadmi Party will not betray the people of Chandigarh in any way. The BJP has openly misused power and turned the Municipal Corporation into a hub of corruption, but now the aware public of Chandigarh is watching and understanding everything.
He further added that the Aam Aadmi Party is formulating a strong and effective strategy to keep the BJP away from the mayor's post, so that Chandigarh can be freed from corruption and put on the path of real and honest development.
