Nawanshahr- The 116th birth anniversary of Upadhyay Pravar Pujya Gurudev Shri Pushkar Muni Maharaj was celebrated as a three-day event with great devotion and enthusiasm in the presence of Pujyashri Priyadarshan Ji Maharaj, Shri Kiranprabhaji Maharaj, Pujyashri Ratanjyotiji Maharaj, Shri Vichakshan Shri Ji, Shri Arpita Ji, Shri Vandita Ji, and Shri Mokshada Shri Maharaj Ji!
Jain Sabha General Secretary Ratan Kumar Jain said that this day was celebrated as a day of appreciation. On this occasion, Ritu Jain, Alka Jain, Ruchi Jain, Priyanka Jain, Rajni Jain, Sapna Jain, Gunisha Jain presented a beautiful dance drama based on the life of Upadhyay Shri Pushkar Muni Maharaj.
Shri Amritlal Jain, Smt. Veena Jain, Anu Jain, and Sanjeev Jain led the chanting and distributed prasad. 10 lucky winners were felicitated. In their discourse today, Mahasadhavi Shri Ratna Jyoti Ji, Shri Vikshan Shri Ji, Shri Arpita Ji, Shri Vandita Ji, and Shri Mokshada Shri Ji Maharaj provided information about the life of Upadhyay Shri Pushkar Muni Ji Maharaj and narrated several stories of his influential life.
The then President Giani Zail Singh honoured him with the title of Vishwa Sant in Delhi. His greatest disciple became the third Acharya of Jainism Shri Devendra Muni Ji. He wrote many scriptures in his life. Even today, many social and religious organizations are working in the name of Guru Pushkar Ji in Rajasthan.
In today's religious gathering, Shri Nem Kumar Jain, Shri Anil Jain, Shri Shripal Jain, Shri Charchit Jain, Shri Alka Jain, Shri Sonia Jain, Shri Vijay Jain, Shri Neeru Jain, Ludhiana were honored with garlands and bows for their special support in the work of the Jain community. Mahasadhavi Shri Priyadarshana Ji Maharaj and Mahasadhavi Shri Kiran Prabha Ji Maharaj recited the Mangalapath and blessed everyone.
After the discourse, Gautam Prasadi was arranged for the entire community at Sehaj Muni Bhawan. This Gautam Prasadi was enjoyed by Shri Anil Jain, Shri Sanjeev Jain, Shri Amit Jain and the Jain Jewellers family.
