Chandigarh: Good news for people suffering from cystic fibrosis, a serious lung disease. Researchers at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar, have discovered which medicines work best for treating the disease.
Led by Prof. Dipika Bansal, the team studied results from many international studies and found two medicines that help patients the most. This means doctors now have clear guidance on the most effective treatments, helping patients live healthier lives.
The research was done in partnership with top hospitals in India, including PGIMER Chandigarh and AIIMS New Delhi. The findings have been published in a leading international medical journal, bringing global recognition to Indian research.
