Biennial Elections of Senior Citizens Welfare Council Santokhgarh Completed
Santokhgarh/Una, March 12 (Rajveer Chopra):- The biennial elections of the Senior Citizens Welfare Council Santokhgarh were successfully concluded. Following the completion of the current executive committee's term, a general body meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Dr. Ram Narayan Prabhakar.
On this occasion, the current Secretary, Jagmohan Singh Walia, presented a detailed account of the council's work and achievements during his tenure, which was appreciated by the entire executive committee and the members present. Following this, a unanimous decision was taken to dissolve the current executive committee.
Dr. Ram Narayan Prabhakar then proposed the name of Jagmohan Singh Walia for the post of new president, which was unanimously accepted by all present members. Thus, Jagmohan Singh Walia was unanimously elected president of the council.
In the same sequence, Balram Mahe was elected general secretary and Ashok Kumar Tejpal was elected treasurer.
The newly appointed office bearers expressed their gratitude to all the members and said that the new executive has been elected for the next two years and all of them will work together for the welfare of the senior citizens of the area through the Senior Citizens Welfare Council Santokhgarh.
President Jagmohan Singh Walia further said that correspondence and talks will be held with the administration to arrange a permanent office for the council, so that a permanent office of the organization can be established.
On this occasion Pandit Shiv Kishore Vasudev, Dr. Ram Narayan Prabhakar, Charan Das Mahajan, Rakesh Chabba, Amar Singh Saini, former councilor Charan Singh Saini, Bhag Singh Saini, Ashok Kumar, Balram Mahe, Pratap Singh Negi, Ashok Kumar Tejpal, Mahesh Kumar Chabba, Ramesh Mahajan and Ram Murti Saini along with other members were present.
