Bharat Scoutings Tritiya Sopan Camp Concludes Successfully at Jhanir School Leaving Lasting Impressions

Mansa: Under the directions of District Education Officer (SE) Mansa, Smt. Neelam Rani, and Deputy DEO Dr. Paramjit Singh Bhogal, the Bharat Scouts and Guides Punjab successfully organized a four-day 'Tritiya Sopan' testing camp at the Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Jhanir. The event was held under the guidance of Principal Kanwaljit Kaur and the command of the DOC (Guides), following the program sent by State Organizing Commissioner Sh. Onkar Singh. A total of 136 Scouts and Guides from eight nearby schools participated in the camp.
During the training, Guide Captains Amritpal Kaur Malkon and Sonam Mehta conducted sessions on the Flag Song, prayers, pledges, and Scout rules. Camp Commandant Nirlep Kaur provided practical training on uniforms, pioneering, flag ceremonies, patrol systems, woodcraft signs, and the history of scouting. Scout Master Desraj Singh Kulriyan imparted training on patrol corners and first aid.
District Organizing Commissioner Darshan Singh Bareta, who attended as a special guest, discussed the roles and functions of 'Patrol-in-Council,' 'Troop-in-Council,' and 'Court of Honor' to resolve patrol-related issues. He also shared tips on how to strengthen the patrol system to achieve the prestigious President's Award.
On the final day, the school head and a team of teachers inspected the colorful huts built by the patrols. The campers were asked questions regarding their work, and three campers presented the camp report during a brief discussion session. The results of the inspection were declared, and all campers departed with a promise to prepare for the 'Raj Puraskar' (State Award).
