Bendcoverhold exercise conducted during earthquake

Batala, February 22:- A seminar on the subject of civil security was organized at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Kaler Kalan under the guidance of Principal Sukhwinder Kaur. In which 120 students of National Skill Qualification Framework along with Vocational Trainers Arun Gupta, Lakhwinder Singh, Manoj Kumar, Karamjit Singh and Post Warden Harbakhsh Singh of Civil Defence participated as a speaker.
On this occasion, Harbakhsh Singh made the children aware about the health, well-being, rights and duties of the children and made them aware about disasters. He told the children about the increasing use of drugs in the society that this not only causes financial loss but also has a very bad effect on health. These should always be avoided. Later, he made them practice “Bend-cover-hold” while telling them what to do and what not to do during natural disasters like earthquakes.
During this, he answered the questions raised by the students regarding disaster management, especially basic fire safety. He also told about the disaster management awareness days throughout the year and the national helpline number 112.
